This is a Leadbelly cover. Leadbelly was one of the great blues/folk artists of the 30s & 40s often lumped in with Woody Guthrie. This version is my take on one from the great a Capella group Sweet Honey in the Rock. Layering vocals is my favorite thing to do in the studio.
